Next, students are taught how to cut stained glass and understand the best ways to place it on the stone. She also shares her tips and techniques for the most effective adhesive for this type of project. These stones can be created for exterior or interior display. I do not remember a moment in my life when I was not creating art but I do remember the moment I decided I wanted to become a mosaic artist and create mosaic art. It is in this process especially, that I find peace, purpose, and a way to say something...with many little pieces. I constantly try to find a balance between the simple and the complex in my work. The subject simple...the movement within that subject.. complex. This is what drives me to keep creating. This challenge to create what I see all around me, in nature, humanity, life and the ironic.

TESTIMONIAL:
"Anne Marie, I love your class and it is helping me so much. On my first day of grouting I was really having trouble. Having admired your work, I bought your course, watched every video and then tried again. Learning to grout the edges with your technique was a game changer. Yesterday, I tried again and successfully grouted the piece with more ease and less mess. My architect husband (who works with bathroom and kitchen tilers) suggested that since I didn't have any toothpicks on hand, I try cutting up an old credit card, as that's what his tiling guys use. The curved corner of the credit card was great and I was able to make multiple little scrapers of different sizes to get into small spaces and larger for larger spaces. Next time I am in the studio, I'll be doing the part you are showing in this video, refining the edges. I am so grateful that you shared your knowledge here. I look forward to doing some stones when I get my current piece out of the way". Carol B.
